About Change.PH
CHANGE-PH is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education project that supports partner higher education institutions in Nepal and the Philippines to develop and institutionalize planetary health education.
The project brings together universities and health sciences institutions from Asia and Europe to co-create locally relevant courses, train educators, and make learning resources available through a public digital repository.
More about the projectWhy planetary health education matters
Climate change, environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, pollution, changing disease patterns, and pressure on food and water systems are already affecting health and wellbeing. These challenges are not only environmental problems. They are education, workforce, public health, and equity challenges.
Many existing planetary health education resources are developed in high-income settings. CHANGE-PH focuses on climate-vulnerable contexts where the need for practical, locally relevant learning is urgent. By working with HEIs in Nepal and the Philippines, the project aims to strengthen the capacity of future professionals to understand and respond to health challenges shaped by environmental change.
